May 04, 1953 - Band turns out for Prisoner Hero. The band of the Royal Fusiliers and a contingent of men, went to the Arnold Estate, Druid Street, Bermondsey, to pay an official welcome, attended by the Lady Mayoress of Bermondsey.

Rest in peace, George. I didn’t know him but clearly one of Bermondsey’s best.
