The two ladies are Bebe & Sasha Griesbach sisters of the owner Frederick Griesbach. On the corner to the left would have been 'The Portland Arms' pub. 'Turog' was a flour like 'Hovis' that was produced by 'Spillers' c.1900 until the brand disappeared in the early 1960s.
