My grandad on my mum's side used to have a hosiery stall in Albion street and my dad came from swan buildings. He was one of the SMALL family.

21 Albion Street. All buildings were later demolished as the site was cleared for the construction by the LCC of the Rotherhithe Tunnel. The site of the shop and this section of Neptune Street became part of the site of St Olav's, the Norwegian church, and the shops visible in the background were replaced with newer shops.

Thanks for keeping us filled with our daily photos, Kiwi - much appreciated by all of us silent lurkers

Small correction on this one — this is actually Rotherhithe Street close to its junction with Odessa Street, more or less opposite to the old Fitchetts pub (now demolished, along with the original Warden House and original Dockland Settlement as shown in the lovely pic).
