Darwin Street is now separated by this green. The site of The Duchess of York Pub is where the white building is, on the corner of Barlow Street, Chatham St is to the right across the park. 2017.

If you look at the first picture above you will see the dairy, but Fishers shop number 54 as gone, probably due to WW2. My mum lived in Darwin Street in the late 1930s.
