A word of thanks to a friend of mine (and still in touch) Sue Meager (smeagher1) for the pictures and information. My mum’s family the Olivers knew the Winstone from way back in the 1930s. In the mid to late 40s when we lived in Guinness’s Buildings Pages Walk my mum (Annie Hamilton) would take me to visit Mrs Winstone when they also lived there. My brother (Bob) went to Webb Street school with some of them and the boys also played football together for John Street Club, Leroy Street. (picture in the Leroy Street Topic).
