Put a Name to a Face - People you may know
Re: Put a Name to a Face - People you may know
Kath and Ed's wedding 1953. It was Boxing Day of that year, and I was one of the three bridesmaids. Kath was my mum's first cousin.
At the time of her wedding, Kath lived at Dunton Road. Her eldest brother Denis Donovan was one of the victims of the Stainer Street Arch bombing on 17th February 1941, he was 15 years old.
Lovely to see the picture!

Hi Kiwi.
Thanks for the welcome to the site. Forgot to mention that Eddie's surname was Dickeson.
All the best.

My Dad and uncle were fed from the Sally Army in Spa Road in the early thirties sometimes - depending on whether the family had any money. Apparently they charged for the grub but would give it to the kids anyway if they had no money.
