I maybe wrong but I think this is Dockley Road. 1986. This was then followed by a total of 14 series', which ran from 20th February 1988 to 25th August 2002. LONDONS BURNING

It's Old Jamaica Road; the red fronted shop is Robinson's. If it weren't for the smoke you would be able to see the Rising Sun and St James's Church beyond Grace Kimmins Gardens.

A serious fire in a warehouse was filmed in the then derelict Hartleys Jam factory near Tower Bridge

For those that are interested the Fire Station used for the series was the Old Dockhead Fire station facing Parker's Row. It looks as if it has been rebuilt over the years.

MUST SEE!
Londons Burning on drama Freeview ch 20 daily at 8am, have seen so many clips from in and round Bermondsey! Saw Blue Watch hurtling up Abbey Street this morning. What a blast from the past! Brilliant series.
