HOLYROOD STREET

Postby kiwi » Wed Jun 26, 2019 5:00 am

Holyrood Street near Tooley Street, was called Henry Street. There was a number of Henry Streets in the area at one time so it can be a bit confusing,so posted under Holyrood Street.
PRATT'S WAS THE DOG FOOD FACTORY ON THE MAP.
In 1972 Spratt's Patent (Holdings) Ltd changed its name to Spillers Foods Ltd and took over the management of all the trading operations of the Grocery Division of Spillers Ltd. Lakeland Food Industries Ltd, a Tyne Brand subsidiary, became responsible for the 'own label' business.
