Wilderness Street was a turn to the right off Weston Street before it met Long Lane, and is today at the point where Law Street meets Weston Street, but at the time of this picture Weston Street went further south to join Great Dover Street.
Wilderness Street ran north east to join Elim Street which ran east to west from Wilds Rents to Weston Street.
Once again both Elim Street and Wilderness Street have been lost in redevelopment and have been swallowed up by the Elim Estate.

Hi Fosney the lastest pics of Elim Estate about four windows along is where my Grandparents lived, they moved there in 1935 when that block was new along with my father & Uncle.

The street was being demolished to build the Elim Estate that occupies the site now. Picture of the Lord Wellington Pub in Weston Street Topic.
