Mr. Turtle & Mr. Pearce set up shop in 1872 in the London Borough of Southwark and after winning a contract to supply the Royal Navy with signalling flags, and they quietly started to become one of the world’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of flags, banners and pennants. They also had a factory at 31 Tanner Street and they are still making Flags today.
