- Kinglake Street,1937. Looking towards the Old Kent Road; Eagle Place is to the left and Brook Cottages to the right. The Two Eagles pub is jutting out in the gap.
- Kinglake Street, 2020, same location as the 1937 picture. Brook’s Cottages right gone, now Kinglake Street. Old Kent Road in the distance, the walk-through gap is still there today.

The shop is that of Francis Watson & his family at no. 46. The shop is believed to have been in Brook's Cottages (but numbered as Amery's Place). Brook's Cottage's was on the right at the far end of the houses and is no longer there, c1895.
- Amery's Place was off Kinglake Street and behind Amery House,c1895.
- Kinglake Street, c1930, looking towards Old Kent Road. Amery's Place run around the back of the houses; this is now where Amery House is.

- Kinglake Street, Wendover Estate in the distance, looks like this is taken from Swanley House.
