Information regarding Marigold Street.
John Thomas Collier was born in Marigold Street, Rotherhithe Date of Birth, 11 Dec  1881 Date of Death, 15 Sept 1916..jpg
John Thomas Collier was born in Marigold Street, Rotherhithe Date of Birth, 11 Dec 1881, Date of Death, 15 Sept 1916.
Prior to the outbreak of war John worked as a Carman. He joined the 12th Battalion East Surrey regiment on the 20th Sep 1915 then aged 32. He saw service in France, where, almost a year to the day he signed up he was tragically killed in action. Battle of Somme, British Army, East Surrey Regiment.

(for information purposes), as I assume Mr Collier lived in one of these houses?
