This photo is of Bevington Street, looking south from Bermondsey Wall. (Flockton Street was narrower - the car would have filled it!).kiwi wrote:Flockton Street looking south from Bermondsey Wall. 19th century slum dwellings ravaged by the blitz 1948..jpg

Cheers Fogbrain.
I assume that is the Riverside School on the left in Janeway Street. If it is then I should have picked up on that, lucky one of us is awake.

Indeed. The building on the right also survives; it houses an electricity transformer (and possibly already did when the photo was taken), but was previously a stable with a hayloft, a not uncommon repurposing in the London area.kiwi wrote:Cheers Fogbrain.

Doe anyone remember the name of the pub that's on the far left of the old Flockton Street photo?
Any pics of that pub would be much appreciated
