New Park Street Chapel, Southwark, 1870-1900, from the street with children and people by the railings. Charles Spurgeon first preached at this Baptist Church in 1853 before the Metropolitan Tabernacle was built to house his expanding congregation two years later. Now called Park Street and was roughly in-between the Shakespeare’s Globe and Park Street.
