ALBIN'S, Built in 1974 on the site of the Old Runge Hall in Culling Road,
The Albin family first worked as wardens of the Bermondsey cemetery over 200 years ago
Barry Albin-Dyer, who died of cancer aged 64, (2 February 1951 – 6 June 2015) was for 30 years the chairman of F A Albin & Sons a venerable firm of funeral directors in Bermondsey, South London, which was tasked by the MoD with organising the repatriation and funerals of members of the Armed Forces who had died in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The son of an undertaker, Barry George Dyer (he adopted the name Albin when he started running Albin and Sons) was born in South London on February 2, 1951,he first lived in Weston Street and was educated at Bacon’s College in Rotherhithe, becoming head boy
