On January 21st, 1947, a steam train collided with an electric train in heavy fog on the viaduct above Blue Anchor Lane. Although the wreckage looked pretty nasty, there was luckily just one minor injury.

Hi Fogbrain, Thanks for that and yes you are right, silly mistake on my part. On the street sign it shows SE 15 not SE 16.
The Blue Anchor Lane picture ran between Goldsmith Road & Peckham High Street, when it disappeared I think it became Mission Place.?
The Pub was on the corner with Peckham High St and called The Blue Anchor. Cheers Kiwi.

Not sure of this, as with the railway on the right it looks like it is coming from Southwark Park Road. Apart from The Blue Anchor Pub, I don’t think there was another pub on the right but I could be wrong. There was a pub on the junction of Blue Anchor Lane and St James Road, possible the Railway Tavern. So could this be St James Road with Blue Anchor Lane on the right the other side of the pub and houses.?

Blue Anchor Lane right, junction with St James Road left. 2017, which would mean the pub was on this corner of the junction left?

It's Enid Street. The pub was the Windsor Castle, aka "The Happy Home".
