Brandon Street ran from East Street to Deacon Street c1956. Brandon Street now runs from East Street and stops at Wansey Street.

- Brandon Street left corner with Eider Street right c1936.
- Brandon Street 2020 now stops here. Eider Street is going right where the grey building is, that is where the shop was. Guinness Buildings was on the left where the brown building is, Heygate Street is at the far end.

Seeing that picture of Guinness Buildings reminded me of when I was a little boy. The railings were gone for the war effort and had not been replaced. I used to walk along the top of the little wall. One day I tried to jump the gap where the block entrance was and missed. I took the skin off my shin from top top bottom. Still makes my legs go wobbly to think about it today.
