GREEN DRAGON COURT.

Green Dragon Court connected Borough High Street with Borough Market. The latter dates from the mid-18th century and is a successor to the mediaeval market. The seemingly ancient shopfront in the c 1930s picture states it is a fraud, being a 17th century Dutch shop-front design that was added to the building in 1923. The first picture is dated 1890s and to me looks like the same shop front ??

Green Dragon Court Borough The street name derives from Green Dragon House a school that once stood here.
