Southwark Park Road (Yesterday & Today)
Picture of Southwark Park Road looks as though it was taken between the wars 1920 period, the entrance to the park is on the right and as a child I remember going into the sweetshop on the right for goodies before going into the park two shops one sold sweets and confectionery what was the other one?

You are right about the sweet shop. He used to supply the Scouts with boxes of sweets for their events at a discount.
I've got a feeling that the other shop sold second-hand domestic appliances? I've got a vague vision, of in my youth, seeing heaters and maybe furniture in the window.
