Hi Fosney, That picture (Bermondsey Cold Store) would be taken from Pope house on the Manor estate Anchor street.

Anchor Street, Southwark Park Road Bermondsey in 1950's.
Re: Anchor Street
Galleywall Road is out of shot on the right on the 1950 picture. The John Bull Arch is on the right. The arches are revealed because the buildings on the north side of Southwark Park Road were destroyed in the V2 strikes. The building behind the railway is Peak Freans.kiwi wrote:Galleywall Road across by the railway arches
Re: Anchor Street
22nd July 2022.
Cracks have appeared on the walls of one of the blocks in the Manor Estate in Bermondsey.
Residents of Pope House, on the corner of Anchor Street and Roseberry Street behind Southwark Park Road, noticed the alarming cracks appear on Tuesday.
Southwark Council workmen quickly put-up scaffolding on the eleven-storey block to help with repairs and fenced it off. No one has been evacuated, but people have been asked not to go on balconies and move their cars away from the block.
