The Equestrian c1930, was situated at 124 Blackfriars Road. This pub was destroyed during a WWII air raid.

Blackfriars Road c1950, a No. 26 Tram coming out of Southwark Street (right). Hopton Street warehouse is also on the right. The building in the far background is the Unilever World Headquarters, Victoria Embankment. My Mum used to do office cleaning in there in the late 1940s early 50s and some mornings (5 or 6am) she would take me with her, at that time it was called Unilever House.

- Blackfriars Road c1826. Holland Street left.
This part of Holland Street is no longer there, it later changed to Hopton Street. This corner became Blackfriars Railway Goods Station.

The Garibaldi was situated at 16 Blackfriars Road at the junction with Stamford Street. This pub was badly damaged during an air raid in 1941 and subsequently demolished.

This end of Davidge Street no longer exists, and all the buildings have been demolished and the area redeveloped. This part of Davidge Street was previously known as Friars Place and leading to Little Surrey Street.

- Blackfriars Road, c1935. J Lyons Tea House at number 7. At number 6, with a bicycle rack in front, is R.H. Warman opticians. Notice the cobbled road with tram tracks.
