Adams Gardens---Brunel Road

Adams Gardens was a small turning off of Brunel Road bearing right to join Hatter Street which was to the left of Rotherhithe Station. The position of Adams Gardens was to the rear of the now Londis Supermarket in Brunel Road and is now part of the Adams Garden Estate.
The area was first redeveloped with the construction of the Rotherhithe Tunnel and again with slum clearance in the 1930s through to the 1940s

Adams Garden Estate (part). Hatteraick Street, Rotherhithe, believed in the mid 1940's, on land that contained Church Lane (1746), Adam Street (1799), Eve Place (1868) and a few small alleys. Hatteraick Street at one time was called New Street.
