Since 1719 the China hall has been a pub on lower road Rotherhithe
In 1719 a pub on the site was called the "Cock and Pye Ale House." It later became the "Marsh Gate" and records show that in 1776 it was called the "Green Man."

- 47 at Surrey Docks in 1979, Lower Road. Right of bus,
is that where Tesco’s is now and now the
Surrey Quays Station on the left 2017?

- The Lower Road Surrey Docks Rotherhithe late 1970's
the pub on the right was The Jolly Caulkers.
- The CAULKERS LOWER ROAD ROTHERHITHE.
- Now The Yellow House Restaurant 2016
It was later renamed The Caulkers and is now used
as a bar/restaurant called The Yellow House.

Terriss Theatre which stood at 34 and 36 Lower Road, on the corner of Culling Road, Rotherhithe, (Note: Part of Culling Road still exists today but all the houses on it have long since been demolished.)
Rotherhithe Hippodrome, formerly Terriss Theatre - was demolished in about 1955.
