The houses in the top picture are №s 12-16 (right to left), the Free Church itself is the building out of frame to the left but clearly the houses - or at least № 12 - were associated with the church. The church became the library after WWII. The houses faced Albion Street, and if the church were still standing, it would be immediately next door to St Olav's Court. The new church is further south on the corner with Culling Road.

Albert Bartlett Beano from Dreadnought pub Lower Rd.jpg

Granddad used to drink in the Dreadnought Lower road,
I have a picture of him with his mates before going on a beano.
This was before the war, he worked as a night watchman in Molins during the war.

I have taken this at face value, only as we know LPA are not always correct with their information. From memory I think it is right, if not let us know. Albion Street left and Neptune Street right.

Lower Road, with Albion Street left. William H. Heiber, Albion Cold Store at 25-29 Lower Road on the corner with Mac's Snacks next door left. In the distance is the Methodist Church, and blocks of flats on Neptune Street. Lower Road was re-routed to create a roundabout for access to the Rotherhithe Tunnel.

Picture is just on the borderline of Rotherhithe and Deptford, Lower Road left and Evelyn Street right.
The tree trunks had fallen off a lorry which was turning the corner, luckily no one was hurt.
The driver said he thought it was a Trunk Road, the Police said he was Barking mad, and the council done a tree-mendous job clearing up the mess.
Molins is on the same corner that London Fabric Printing Co was.
