Clements Road

Clements Road (Yestrday & Today)

From the design of the cars we can date this as from the 1960s. The whole area has changed since this photo was taken all the old houses have gone and replaced by flats

The highest street number in Clement's Road was 60; the chauffeur to the pre- and post-war mayors of Bermondsey, Eddie Taylor - my great-uncle, lived there. (I don't remember ever hearing my great-uncle Ed call my great-aunt Carrie rude names. But they had a mynah bird. :D )

I think the photo is of 70 Clement Road, Willesden. :)
