ower Bridge Road/Tanner Street
Another landmark that has gone, the Raven Pub that stood on the corner of Tower Bridge Road and Tanner Street. Now replaced by a residential development for sale at exorbitant prices with the Constancia Argentine Grill on the ground floor.
Note: from the earlier picture, the building next door in Tower Bridge Road, has been developed with extra floors.

Haddon Hall Baptist Church
I am continuing writing my life story and my lliving in Bermondsey in the earlier part of my life but again I need some help from you all.!
Can any one remember the original Haddon Hall Baptist Church which lay at the Bricklayers Arms end of Tower Bridge Road between Rephidim Street and Noel Street oposite Joyces Pie and Mash shop and Aberdour Street.
My memories are that there were marble stairs going up with a central brass handrail in the middle !
what can you remember and has any a photographs

Hi Fosney
Another great find, Thanks.
I'm with you on this one, it's not the building I remember.
Ive had a look at the photo of the OKR with Haddon Hall in background, trying to see any similarities, ie bell tower?
I suppose over the years the building could have been subject to many changes.

- Tower Bridge Road 1931
- Grange Road/Tower Bridge Road Toilets. What is it with these toilets? we seem to have more pictures of them than anything else. Though this is from a different angle, with the Bacon School in the background. Maybe we should pull the chain on any more pictures & say Tood-a-Loo.?
