Surrey Docks, Canals and Wharfs
BUTLER'S WHARF, Shad Thames, London. From 1921 children had to be at least 12 years old before they could work full-time, though some of these boys look younger. They appear to be labelling tins of tea. Their work benches are made of wooden panels and upturned tea chests.

I think the top picture (right) information could be incorrect. The Cold Store is below South Thames Wharf, if that is right the stairs would be Morgan’s Lane Stairs not Battlebridge Stairs. Wilson Wharves was right of Griffins Wharf with Battlebridge Stairs right of that then Hays Wharf. The ship could be the same ship in both pictures
