Spent many hours in that office, playing cards and drinking tea,boy was that hard work.

I think this is probably taken from Dunton Road bridge. The buildings far left are Waleran Buildings and the ones slightly nearer Dover Buildings, both in the Old Kent Road.

National Carriers took over the Outwards Station (Dunton Road/Lynton Road entrance) from British Rail in 1969.The platforms were partly levelled off to accommodate their road vans. National Carriers moved elsewhere in 1980 and the depot leased by Robson’s Road Haulage Ltd of Chambers Street as a warehouse for canned beer pallets. Robson’s moved out in 1985.
