Thanks ,I thought that it was more recent than pre WW1.( the car gave it away). My mother was living in Darwin Buildings that might be shown in the photo pre WW1. I visited Barlow Street earlier this year and saw the replacement block. Hard to find any properties connected with the family after all ...

I have been doing a bit of ancestry research and find that family also lived at 39 Layard Road but in 1901.
I know from your message that the road was redeveloped but is the home likely to have been spared, or might the current property be
post redevelopment?
