Spot on, I reckon. The doorway on the right would be at the back of 52 Cathay Street.kiwi wrote:this may be part of Iron Yard.

Re: Crosby Row Long Lane
It's looking north towards Snows Fields; the tall building at the end on the left is The Angel. It's on the LPA website at https://www.londonpicturearchive.org.uk ... em?i=53947.kiwi wrote:Picture states Crosby Row checked but unable to confirm. If it is I think it is looking towards Long Lane.

Re: Pages Walk
I'm not sure of this, it is just something in the back of my mind so I could be wrong. I think Clive Place was down the side of the Vic pub. :? It was, but access to it was down beside the other end of Clyde Buildings (the tall building in the centre - the photo is looking east towards Pages Walk)....

Re: Tower Bridge
I never knew they had a Drinking Fountain And Cattle Trough Association. If I remember correctly there was a Horse Trough by the coffee stall in the slip road opposite St Olave's & St Saviour's Grammar School for Boy's.? Yes, at the end of Devon Mansions, between Tooley Street and Fair Street. ...

Re: MAGUIRE STREET, SHAD THAMES.
I may be wrong on this, but I think the Shad Thames Pumping Station is now roughly where the Café was. It's a really close call, but the cafe was the last building along the street on the site now occupied by the former warehouse called Tamarind Court, right next door to the pumping station. The ar...

Re: Jamaica Road/Union Road.
Picture states, Major Road, Southwark, c1909. Maybe someone can confirm, one way or the other. The photo is of Major Works - Jackson's french polish factory in Major Road. Hancock's was at 122 Jamaica Road. I suspect that sign in Major Road is an advertisement and has the Jamaica Road address in th...
