Holy Trinity Church, Dockhead. On 2nd March 1945, the church and presbytery were destroyed by a V2 rocket Holy Trinity Church Dockhead which had been previously blitzed was demolished. Am I right in thinking that at one time there where two separate schools, Alma School, Southwark Park Road & Alexis Street School in Alexis Street.?

I think this is on the same part of the Canal as Fosneys earlier picture. Behind the mast of the boat in the distant is what looks like the Tower of St Georges Church. If so, this would make this part of the Canal by Wells Way.?

Howland Great Wet Dock was working as early as 1697—It was later renamed Greenland Dock & Specialised in cargoes of timber. The Surreys closed 1970 & a period of dereliction preceded a rebirth as a series of new residential neighbourhoods with Greenland Dock retaining its waters for a variet...
