Ray mate, I’m so sorry for your loss. My heartfelt condolences to you and your family. May Jen rest in eternal peace. Sending love, strength and solidarity from one Bermondsey boy to another.

Re: OLD KENT ROAD.

Unless Fogbrain says otherwise, I think you’re correct about it being Albany Road, Kiwi. Thanks for the daily dose of nostalgic photos :-)

Re: ALBION STREET,ROTHERHITHE.

Albion Street, beside the Norwegian Church. X..png Thanks for keeping us filled with our daily photos, Kiwi - much appreciated by all of us silent lurkers :-) Small correction on this one — this is actually Rotherhithe Street close to its junction with Odessa Street, more or less opposite to the ol...

Re: East Lane

I could likewise be wrong(!) — but I think you’re right about the caption being wrong, Kiwi. I am also seeing King and Queen Street on the left, with The Good Intent on the right.

PS: Many thanks, as always, for the regular fix of new pics!

Here is a picture of the battle cruiser itself that I have stumbled across while trying - and failing - to work out where the cafe in Kiwi’s post above once stood. The Half Moon and Bulls Head is to the left of view…
