The ice cream shop near the Bricklayers arms was probably the greengrocers owned by Peter Bottone (Italian) situated at the convergence of Tabard Street and Great Dover Street. We used to go there for the sixpenny mix, vanilla ice cream, lemon ice and strawberry ice . Does anybody remember the shop...
